FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we are in-network with BCBS PPO and BlueChoice.

We are not in network with all other insurance providers. If you have a different insurance plan (i.e. Aetna, Cigna, United, BCBS HMO Plan), we will work with you to apply for direct reimbursement with your insurance provider. We are able to provide our clients with service codes (CPT Codes) prior to starting services to determine reimbursement coverage.

You may use your FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or HSA (Health Savings Account) to pay for services, however you should contact your fund administrator to learn more about this option.

The costs for comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological evaluations vary. There is no set cost because each case is different. The costs depend on many factors including referral question(s), complexity of the case, number of assessments that will need to be administered, time it takes to administer the assessment tools and time needed to interpret your information and go over the results. We start all evaluations with an intake appointment with a clinical psychologist to better assess your testing needs and determine which assessment tools will be used. We ask all our clients to be familiar with their individual mental health insurance benefits (copays, deductible) and determine if their plan requires a pre-authorization.

Wear comfortable clothes, feel free to bring any item from home that brings you a sense of comfort or helps us understand you and your interests better. You are welcomed to bring your partner or a friend. All minors have to be accompanied by an adult.

There are 4 steps to the testing process:

Intake. During the intake appointment you will meet with a licensed clinical psychologist to gather background information and explore the reason(s) you are seeking a neuropsychological/psychological evaluation. The clinical psychologist will answer any questions you may have in preparation for testing.

Testing. This includes one-on-one testing and gathering information from parents, teachers, and your treatment team. Most in-person testing sessions last between two to six hours. Testing is typically scheduled in the morning, so it is important to get a good night’s sleep the night before and eat a good breakfast. Wear comfortable clothing and bring any comfort object from home. Clients are welcomed to bring a snack and a drink. Testing may take place over the course of one or more days. As a neurodiversity testing center, we encourage short breaks, the use of stimming, movement, support animal, and any other supports that may be needed to provide us the most accurate representation of your abilities.

Interpretation. Following completion of testing, your assigned clinical psychologist will take all your testing data, interpret it, and write a comprehensive report.

Feedback. Once the report is completed you will meet with the clinical psychologist to review the report together. You may invite anyone to be a part of your feedback, including your therapist, partner or support animal.
