Mental Health Occupational Therapy

Your life is made up of “occupations”- studying, sleeping, doing homework, grocery shopping, showering, driving, meal prepping, organizing….

Occupational therapy (OT) plays a crucial role in mental health by helping clients and their families engage in meaningful activities that promote emotional well-being and functional independence. Our mental health OT services promote ease of participation in activities that are important for you, your child and your family as a whole.

Our mental health OT services support clients in building lives that feel meaningful, sustainable and aligned with who they are. We work collaboratively with clients in creating practical and personalized strategies, tools and sensory supports.

Led by Dr. Linda Tran, we offer an affirming, culturally sensitive and a mind-body approach in helping clients engage in activities with greater ease, flow and with more confidence.

Common areas that mental health OT can address include:

Executive Functioning (planning ahead, starting tasks, multi-tasking, memory)

Sensory and Environmental Supports

Social Participation and Communication

Emotional Regulation and Nervous System Regulation

Identity, Self-Advocacy and Confidence
